Yenda Producers is looking for a Senior Agronomist (Cotton) to join the Griffith Branch. Yenda has an established position in the Riverina cotton market and is looking to increase our service levels in the growing sector.
You will provide quality agronomic advice and technical support to Yenda's cotton growers along with sales support services to the Griffith Branch.
As a key member of the Griffith Branch, you will assist the Branch Manager and Customer Service team with sales, product forecasting and inventory management with the assistance of established software systems. You must be willing to work in a team and provide upskilling support to sales and support staff as well as monitor industry research and promote Yenda's agronomy services to various industry participants.
You will work with a diverse and experienced team of 6 agronomists to build professional relationships and grow Yenda's client base.
Yenda has 97 years experience in the Australian agricultural industry and operates across 6 branches in the Riverina and North East Victoria. Yenda is part of the Yenda Group, an agricultural group that provides a full suite of agricultural products and services to growers, including stock and station agency, real estate, grain trading, grain handling and water and irrigation engineering.
Skills and experience
Yenda is looking for a Senior Agronomist experienced in the cotton industry, who has extensive technical knowledge and in field experience.
Essential requirements include tertiary training in agronomy, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a manual driver licence. You must have excellent customer service, computing and administration skills and be willing to keep up to date and learn the latest agronomy practices and new technology.
