Griffith is the regional centre for medical, dental and hospital facilities. Griffith has a substantial medical community with approximately 40 General Practitioners in the district and over 25 resident and visiting specialists servicing the area. Griffith Base Hospital offers specialist medical services including intensive care, surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics and renal dialysis, a range of allied health and mental health services as well as outreach services to the district. The construction of the new $250 million Griffith Base Hospital development is well underway. In 2016, the $23 M St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith opened, providing residents 20 inpatient beds in single rooms, 20 day procedure beds and specialist inpatient services.

Located mid way between Sydney and Melbourne in southwestern New South Wales, Griffith has a number of transport options that make travelling simple.
