Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) is one of the largest private irrigation companies in Australia serving over 3,000+ landholdings that is owned by our shareholder customers within an area of 378,000+ hectares. The irrigation water and drainage services we provide have helped create a diverse and highly productive agricultural region known as the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). The MIA is one of the most diverse and productive regions in Australia, forming part of the Murray-Darling Basin. The MIA is home to over 50,000 people with most jobs tied inextricably to the water we supply to farms and industry. About the role

MI is looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer with a passion for technology, the tenacity to drive change and see it through to delivery, and a continuous improvement mindset to join our Information Systems Team. This role is a permanent, full-time position based in Griffith, NSW.   

In this role you will:  

  • Proactively seek and implement opportunities to drive technology innovation from planning through to completion. 
  • Maintain high standards of change management control. 
  • Develop and implement the necessary procedures, documentation, monitoring and governance to ensure high levels of system availability, reliability, performance, security, and recoverability are maintained.  
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders. 

 

 

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Senior Systems Engineer in an enterprise environment. 
  • Demonstrable expertise in the Microsoft stack including Azure, M365, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Exchange and Active Directory. 
  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, systems and cloud services including monitoring, response and recovery. 
  • Experience in IT incident, problem and change management procedures. 
  • A passion for IT and a demonstrated interest in keeping abreast of changes in technology. 
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence
