About the Opportunity
This clinical position involves the provision of assessments, evidence based treatment and case management services to adults referred to the service with psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses. It is based within multidisciplinary community mental health team. T his position is based within a multidisciplinary community mental health team and accepts responsibility and accountability for the provision of quality and safe care for people with a mental illness, disorder or dysfunction, people with emotional difficulties and experiencing life transition, distress and/or crisis within best practice guidelines and in accordance with professional standards, medico legal and statutory requirements.
The position also involves the provision of mental health crisis intervention services to individuals of all ages.

About Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD)Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) spans over 125,000 square kilometres across southern New South Wales, stretching from the Snowy Mountains in the east to the plains of Hillston in the northwest and all the way along the Victorian border. Griffith Base Hospital is a 119 bed facility with 100 hospital care beds and 10 maternity beds. Each year we support approximately 19,500 emergency presentations, 2,500 operations and 600 births. We provide a 24 hour Emergency Department (ED) with 15 ED spaces supported by an Intensive Care Unit and is also equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team in Griffith with specialists across the NSW Critical Care Advisory Service. A $250 million redevelopment of the Griffith Base Hospital is underway. Main works features the new Acute Services Building, which will be built to the north of the existing main hospital building and will include: - A new emergency department - New services including Aged Care and Rehabilitation beds - New operating theatres - Medical imaging - Outpatient care to include expanded â€“ renal, oncology, Hospital in the Home, clinics and outpatient rehabilitation gym - A clinical link to the adjoining private hospital.
